Hi everyone.

Did you guys check the cricket!! I was lucky enough to be there with really excellent seats. It was so nerve racking, I think my finger prints are still embedded in the railing.

I went to the Workgroup sales conference on Friday and Saturday. I had to do the Linux spin for the Workgroup folks. The conference was held at a place with an unpronounceable name about 18 km's outside Warmbaths.

I finalised my registration with UNISA so I am now waiting for my first material to arrive. What have I let myself in for!!!

I was supposed to go to gym this week, but that didn't work out. (oooh bad pun) Hopefully I will go on Tuesday.

If you guys are looking for a good meal with a bit of a difference try Rhubarb's on Sandton Square. You have to try their black mushroom starter. It has Brie melted over the top and they serve it with a raspberry sauce. Awesome. One of our guys from the UK office was out for a week and Laurie and I took him out to dinner on Tuesday night. Some of our cricket players were walking around Sandton City as well. There were a whole lot of kids running around with cricket bats trying to get autographs.

This week ended on quite sad note for us. Laurie's sister's fiancé died this week from cancer. He left Zim just over a year ago to start a new life in Australia. He hadn't been there long when he was diagnosed with cancer. After operations (removed a brain tumor, spot on the lung and testicles), chemo and radiation he seemed to have a handle on things. He even went back to work. Unfortunately it soon reappeared. Two weeks ago he just went drastically downhill. He spent all of this week in hospital. His brother managed to fly to Australia to be with him just in time. He was only 26.

On that somber note I bid you all farewell. Live life folks.

Cheers
Michael
